| Description: | The end credit sequence for Guns and Gulaabs on Netflix reimagines the oft-ignored credit scroll of a show, in a way that gives viewers an opportunity to engage with it (and each other), smile with it, and hence, remember it. With the show being set in a small, sleepy Indian town in the early 90s, the typography is inspired by the visuals and affairs of a simpler, sweeter time. An ode to the delightful graphics and visuals of a completely analogue world, most of it is hand lettered - as it would’ve been at a time when advertisements were painted on walls and letters penned by hand. Appearing on fond, nostalgic elements, each cast name also hides references to their characters. As one moves further into the show, the connections unravel as sweet surprises. |
