Description: Reframe, an annual mental health journal by the Mariwala Health Initiative, was redesigned from scratch by Studio Ping Pong for its sixth issue, Global Mental Health from the Margins. Reflecting its global theme, the journal featured contributions from eight illustrators across six countries, ensuring each piece was rich in cultural nuance.

The publication was structured into three parts: Revision, Context, Engage plus a closing section on MHI’s work. Articles from academics and researchers worldwide were accompanied by editorial illustrations, type posters, and infographics, all designed with emotion, symbolism, and accessibility in mind.

The color palette black, white, and bright red was intentionally minimal: black and white emphasized content, while red conveyed urgency, anger, and feeling. A world map on the endsheet celebrated the diversity of contributors. In contrast to the detailed interior, the cover was quietly hopeful, symbolizing a step into the light.

To support both accessibility and sustainability, the journal was also developed as a fully accessible website. The print edition used recycled paper and a reduced ink load, printed in two colors plus a special red.
