| Description: | Nenapu, meaning memory in Kannada, is a bistro identity designed to feel remembered, not branded. With no fixed menu and no interest in digital polish, the challenge was to create a system that felt emotional, nostalgic, and unmistakably local. The logo merges Kannada and English into one iconic “N” — discovered, not designed — where scripts coexist like memory and meaning. A soft-bold type system captures two school archetypes: the mischievous chalk-thrower and the quiet topper. Together, they write the language of the brand. Colors were not picked, they were recalled — the hue of birthday treats, new erasers, and summer uniforms. All illustrations were hand-drawn with chalk on a blackboard, then digitized without losing their smudge. Sixty-four hours of work later, Nenapu emerged — not as a polished brand, but as a dusty whisper of childhood. Built to evolve with weekly specials yet stay rooted in Karnataka’s soul, Nenapu is a memory served warm — on plates, posters, pizza boxes, and postcards — designed to be felt before seen. |
