Description:	Anjeer, a new restaurant in Gurugram from the team behind Fig at Malcha, carries the brand’s ingredient-forward approach into a contemporary Indian dining experience. The design reflects the brand’s philosophy—breaking traditional notions around Indian cuisine through craft and material authenticity yet being light, contemporary and playful in its experience. At its heart is a radical spatial gesture: dissolving the threshold between back and front of house—the kitchen, cold stations, bar, and coffee counter unfolding as visible parts of the guest journey, evoking the ease of sitting at a friend’s kitchen table. The dining clusters are intimate—tables for two and four—while a chef’s table and group dining offer interactive formats with direct sightlines to the hot kitchen. The largely monochromatic material palette—timber, terrazzo, stone, and fabric—echoes Anjeer’s culinary ethos: crafted, expressive, and rooted in a contemporary Indian voice. Hand-dressed sandstone recalls woven textures; translucent kantha-inspired embroidered panels and layered light fixtures bring tactility. A solid pop of colour is infused by a slick pink-glass gantry and the terrazzo flooring with its inlays of gentle ripples, unifying the space. Anjeer is a gentle provocation—without spectacle or excess, it shifts the conversation from themed to thoughtful.
