Description: This is the world's first museum wholly dedicated to the Banjara community, capturing and re-weaving a fragmented history with passion and poetry. The museum is located in a space that spans twelve acres, in Poharadevi, Washim, Maharashtra. The five-storied building is shaped as a Nangaara, a musical instrument of the Banjaras. The name of the museum is 'Banjara Virasat', a synchronous symbol of the rich cultural ingenuity of the Banjara people.

The design conveys this spirit through the creation of various curatorial and immersive environments that transport the visitors to those times and spaces. It communicates through media such as flying theater, 3D dome theater, 3D holographic projection, audio visuals, physical set recreations, mannequins - animatronics and otherwise, graphic panels, photographs, cutouts. Emotions are evoked as the visitors walk-through this piece of history. Banjara Virasat is a museum co-created with members of the Banjara community, built on deep empathy and trust.

The layered storytelling appeals to tourists, students, researchers, and heritage lovers alike. Its spatial design, multilingual audio guides, and large-scale visuals create high engagement and visitor retention, offering strong cultural and economic value.
